"a very fine cheese of good character - rich and buttery. Deliciously clean long, fruity finish" was the Judges' opinion of Northumberland’s Coquetdale Cheese, 1st Prize winner at the 1993 Bakewell Cheese Show. Their full and rich yet light Elsdon Goats Cheese won 2nd Prize. Northumberland Original with its creamy, smooth, compact texture won Bronze at the British Cheese Awards 1994, and the Smoked variety struck gold at the 1996 London International Cheese competition. More recently, their Redesdale Sheep Cheese won the national Supreme Sheep Prize at the Nantwich International Cheese Show in 1998, along with their Coquetdale which took 2nd Prize. Coquetdale also picked up 3rd Prize at the Bath and West 1988 Cheese Show.
